Sounds like you are set up very nicely. Have you considered a hydraulic =
press, about a 20-ton unit? They also come in very handy. I've noticed =
that when you need a press, there is not much else that you can =
substitute. On the other hand, except for possibly painting, anything =
you use pneumatic tools for can be done with an equivalent =
electric/manual tool.
Adrian's nice shop prompts this poll question:
What device is most useful in the home shop/garage?
(and state your reasoning)
welder (any type)
hydraulic press
air compressor
? (feel free to add your own favorite, but please avoid the =
basic/obvious candidates like "socket set" or "drill motor")

well ..
thats true ...
my current garage has 220V Dual Phase with 100A service in it :) ( =
soon upgarding to 600VA )
i sort of forgot that no everybody is as big f a car nut as i am ...
as long as i'm fooling around with ANY car im happy ( most of the time =
with H's from the store in other words a customers car )
but i have close to 20K in tools and which also include a nice =
collection of MAC tools and a 200A Miller MIG/TIG welder :)=20
( i dont want to pay someone to do simple stuff that i already know =
how to do ... and besides if i mess up theres no one else that i can =
blame )
all im missng right now ( and ghonna get really soon ;) ) is a =
Bridgeport and a Lathe / CNC
then Im gonna start makin custom parts for these lil toys of ours ... =
like billet under drive pulleys, billet valve covers ( maybe with a lil =
custom engravin on top of them ), 2 piece aluminum flywheels, brake =
addapters ( if someone is willing to let me borrow theirs to "duplicate" =
the design )
and so on ..
