How much do you have to spend?
$200?
$2000?
Get the biggest one you can afford/have room for.
Stay away from offshore manufacturers(this means avoiding retailers like =
Harbor Freight), you can't go wrong with an American-made unit. Don't =
be afraid of Sears.
Do you have 220V service for a really big one? If you are limited to =
110VAC, then that may be a factor.
Tools? Chicago Pneumatic. Aros. Or, again, "Made in USA "is still a =
good sign. It also depends on how much use you will be giving those =
tools....If you will only use them once every three years, then a =
Chinese/Taiwanese tool may give you satisfactory service (i.e. you die =
before it breaks)
Have fun! (and please wear eye protection)

Subject: Air Compressor - what to buy?
Hi all, I just got a nice unexpected bonus and was thinking an air
compressor would be a nice thing to buy. What brands should I look at =
and
what specs should I look for? Upright or horizontal? Who makes good =
tools
for the air compressor and are there any brands of tools or =
compressors that
I should look out for? =20
