Can I wedge something between the pipe and the bar
that won't melt and will provide some cushion?


I wrapped my DP with header wrap, I don't recall if it made much
difference in the sound, but that stuff is heat resistant. Mine clunked
till I did my clutch, in other words, the mounts were not aligned.
