One of the high powered 9A turbo A1 cars (I think it was the turbo Rabbit)
had used the front beam from an A2 car, which has that big fat puck style
motor mount. The real reason they said they did it was it shifted the whole
engine forward a few inches, to get weight over the drive wheels. I'd guess
it to be in the high 200/low 300ish hp range. That one I may even have
pictures of. But of course, that still doesn't help you with the tranny. May
help save the frame though.
