shim kit on a turbo 16v

The Transmission Shim Kit is very nice for the poor people that cannot
afford a QUIAFE, I run the 3A/JH on a 9A transmission, and I love it.

If you are to open and rebuild a transmission, get not only the shim kit but
the bolt kit as well, and swap 1-2-3 synchro's for "Moly" Steel (Ron Peiper
will jump in hopefully for the actual name), they cost a little more, for
each, (if I recall 2 years ago it was like 17$ versus 5$ for each "Moly"
synchro's. But it's the smoothest shifting transmission (of yeah Mr. Rose's
Full threaded shift kit does wonders as well.) I know of.

Just an observation made tonight while bombing around at 3am on deserted
streets with a fresh 8"+ of snow on the ground: the shim kit rocks in
the snow! I just got new Michelin Arctic Alpins installed the other
