shim kit on a turbo 16v



Well, you didn't ask the girls, but I have seen the innards of more than 
enough "stock trannies" on VWs with much less power than yours. (OMG that's 
a ton of power to stick! ) Just remember that NHRA (and any 1/4 mile) events 
will shift the grief somewhere, when your tires and the track stick well to 
each other. I haven't run fast enough for this to be an issue, not yet. And 
Denny just toasts clutches in my 16V. Maybe you'll luck out and snap axles 
like the Hondas. I'll talk trannies with the 260 hp MkI next time I see him, 
see what he's done.
