shim kit on a turbo 16v

I would go with a CenterForce Dual Friction Clutch and Pressure Plate.
Much more streetable and easier on the leg. It has plenty of holding
power without the instant grab you will get with a puck setup. IMHO

well I guys may think its crazy but I'm shooting for 350 crank HP on the
stock bottom end. I'm currently running a 4K tranny and its gets up
there
quick. I have a Saab turbo installed and it was set at base at 4 psi
and at
WOT 10 psi through a tec 2. was running that until my clutch said no
no.
and started to slip. now I'm at 4 psi until I install my 6 puck. but I
figured why go in twice when I can go in once. I'm thinking about a 02A
conversion or taking my 9A spare tranny and beefing it up. my 9A tranny
has
a busted second gear so I have to go in to repair it anyway so I was
thinking about doing things while I'm in there.

I'm upgrading my turbo to a t3/t4E in two months. the car is mostly
going
to be a daily driver and I plan on racing it at NHRA events. so I'm
somewhat erre about the 02A because they are somewhat hardier to come by
then the 020. I can get 020 tranny at junkyards all day long.

What do you guys think about this?

> I think it all depends on your power levels. What kinda turbo setup
we
talking here? Full street ~200 hp? Invest in a bolt kit for the
differential, and do basic tranny maintenance (fluid) and you'll be
fine.
(Of course, you'll still want a shim kit or the Phantom Grip, I can't
give
advice there)
> Bigger power ~250+ hp? May require a better diff (Quaiffe) and some
tranny work (gear strengthening, particularly 3rd and 4th), along with
stronger driveshafts if you want it to last. Take note, some guys seem
to
make do with stock drivetrain and lots of power, but it mayjust be luck.
