Euro lights? bulbs?

The little bulb inside the H4 frame is actually a city light, it is called
that because in Europe, when you are driving in the cities off the highways,
you are not allowed to drive with your headlights on, but the city lights
are 25w bulbs that permit enough reflective visibility that it is considered
enough for people to drive with (and also lowered the amount of people being
blinded by high wattage bulbs :))

The bulbs as per American tradition are being used as decorum (as it is
illegal to drive at night without your headlights and we have no such clause
of the city lights) and in the American-Euro fashion, everyone slaps on
colored bulbs into their city light sockets. (blue, green, yellow, red,
black light etc.)

I used to have those, was cool to match the color of your headlights with
your car... But cops do not find it amusing you driving with those
headlights only at night (illegal).

Some people attach the bulbs of the city lights with the corner lights, some
install a switch to operate them independently, to be honest what ever color
you use, once you pull the headlights on, you can barely see the color bulbs
action anyways.

Euro Headlights are extremely resistant to heat, some will differ in opinion
on this matter, I have use 100w/130w H4 and H3's in my euros for months
without a problem. The other issue with Euro, since they cost a lot more
than conventional headlights and since the access to spare parts is much
lower than if you lived in Europe, a lot of folks a putting stone guard
films on their lenses.

The fact is (as my memory serves) anyone with over 80w bulbs relayed in
their euro's with lens film protection, have cracked their headlight
lenses, it would seem that the protecting film on the front of the lens
interferes with the air cooling the glass properly as high wattage bulbs
create tons of heat.

Subject: Euro lights? bulbs?

Ok i have some euro lights that are going in.
Before i wire everything in, need to know what is what.

I know that the main beam side has a low and a high beam H4, What is that
little light next to the H4 in the main beam houseing for? Do i splice it in
to my fogs? Also what bulb # is it or what fits it(both are burnd out)?

Next i was wondering what the H1 is for? Do I have that running with my high
beams? Is that a fog? Or is that the "city light"?

By the way, What the hell is a "city light" and whats its purpose?

sorry if this has been asked before many times

TIA!
