VW Dealership

The 02Ms weigh 133 lbs or so. That is just the tranny without the flywheel
or any other bits and pieces.

On the 1.8T, the block weighs 104 lbs if I recall correctly (my 20V has the
internal water pump, so I suppose the block on a 20V with an external water
pump would weigh less), and the head without the cam cover weighs 48 lbs
(incidentally, the 16V head weighs 50 lbs).

All weights are subject to the typical tolerances on any bathroom scale, so
attach an "ish" to the end.
