OT kinda......still VW though!

First off I must defend myself!! lol I know the intake will not increase
CR. The intake stuff was what he was having trouble sourcing out. The motor
will be getting bored out a bit..not sure how much, head milled, massive
P&P, big cams(dunno what he's decided on). I wasn't aware they made a 50mm
intake for A2's.
He wants as much flow as he can get. I believe I saw an Oettinger(sp?)
intake on a 16v before....what else is there along that line?
What about open throttle bodies? emissions issues? advantages/disadvantages
for power, torque, powerband, etc.?
