MKIII 2.0 transmission work?

Im having problems of fluid leakage with my 9a
transmission on my Scirocco, and i dont want to spend
100$ on parts to fix it and find out i need new
driveflanges.
i'd rather throw in a much much newer transmission for
twice the cost and have peace of mind. Plus, a newer
transmission isnt that much.
Anyways, i'll start hunting when i find out if the 020
from a mkIII or MKIV 2.0 would work. Here's the
questions:
-does the MKIII trannies have 100 mm driveflanges (so
my driveshafts can bolt right up?)
-does the MKIII trannies have the same output shaft
width? If not which clutch/pp combo should i get?
is there anything i need to look out for?
i have the limited slip kit on my 9a but can switch it
over easily.
