very ot: any C++ nerds got a few minutes for me?

Nerds! Lend me your ears and eyes for a few minutes please. I've got a very
basic C++ program that I've got to figure out for class and I can use some
help. This is *easy* stuff for somebody with a clue. That somebody isn't me;
hence my woeful plea for assistance. Please contact me off list. This'll
only take a few minutes, I think.
