Have you pulled the injectors and verified that all are flowing and the
amount is roughly equal between them??
Bentley has the procedure for doing this.
It isn't the coil. The coil doesn't know which cylinder is firing, so it
can't not fire for #4 and then fire for the rest of the cylinders.
Whoever told you it might be the coil probably shouldn't be consulted for
engine problems.
Also, have you verified you have a spark at the end of the #4 spark plug
wire just to reverify spark plug wires, cap and rotor?
