1.8L JH 8V engine tear down.

Well I pulled my engine out of my car this weekend. I had freeze plug
let go while I was driving the car, and I over heated. I plan on seeing
how the eninge is and rebuilding it. Wondering where I should start? Do
you guys use a ridge reamer before removing the pistons? Also I was
looking a techtonics price list and need some of the tools for the
cylinder head there pretty expensive. Is there any where to get the
various tools cheaper? I also live in Canada.
