I did too, and mine were shorter, too. In fact, I just noticed that they
were so short that they eventually pulled rubber grommet out of the slot in
the strut and started rubbing on the tire. So much for the clear
tubing...good thing they're SS!

I ended up putting a zip-tie around the rubber grommet to keep it from
popping out again.
