Yes, it'll be easy enough at home. If it were near the top of the head
(like it is on my Datsun) I wouldn't need the bucket, which would have
been very convenient at work.
On the way home tonight, I connected the wires to the fan switch together
to keep the fan on continuously. The water temp was better behaved, but
the oil temp still hit the red zone before I got home. I'll start my
morning tomorrow with replacement of the thermostat. If that doesn't
restore good temperatures, I guess I'll have the radiator checked out.
I looked at a '79 tonight with a bad transmission. I think I'm going to
buy it and take the seats (from an '83 S, I think) and windshield. What
else might be worth stripping and storing? Light lenses, fuel injection,
grill? As an apartment dweller, it'll need to be stowable in a closet.
