axle stuck to transmission

I am eager to tear apart my transmission but I have to get the damn thing
out first.  The passenger side axle isnt coming off the 100mm flange.  I
decided to disconnect the ball joint to give myself some more room to tug,
but that is only resulting in the inner joint starting to separate.  This is
my new axle too!

ideas?  I have one, but it involves an angle grinder >:|
