2007 Bag O' Chips Award Nominees
You get special points I learned for leading a Honduh owner to a few
points on his license.
IF ALL GOES WELL... I am hoping to have a job landed in Cincy by the
time everyone starts heading that way. Worst case scenario is that I
fly in and drive the niece's Bug up to Daun's. Which btw it's still
up for sale or trade on almost any condition "New" Beetle as long as
it runs. It could have a spool of wire for a seat at this point--my
brother is SOOO pissed at her. It's a nice car--I want it--but I
don't have enough time/money/good graces with the old lady to worry
about another VW.
If I get the job early I am going to drive the 87 across and since I
can't easily fly with my pistol and rifle, I'll have those in the car
with me, which guarantee's good behavior on the cross country trip.
(DON'T WORRY They will be stored in a safe at my brother's house.)
Thus said I will not be in the running for the Bag o Chips award.
On a side note... WAAAAAY OFF Topic Anyone lost a loved one and look
for them in crowds? I travel so much I probably see 15,000 faces a
day in airports and such, I see common features of people I know alive
or gone. It's odd. I met someone today that looked very much like my
father-in-law who died on a motorcycle this summer. I had to work
with the man and I almost couldn't deal with it. The voice was
different and the eyes, but the shape of the face and the hair--right
down to his bushy eyebrows, was uncanny. I kept fighting the urge to
hug him. Weird huh? He would have absolutely thought I lost my
brains... lol. I couldn't even imagine how I would explain that. I
am sure I gave him some weird looks regardless. I did the same thing
after my Mom died for years. I would see someone that reminded me of
her vaguely. Maybe I need to go to grief counseling or something.
Like I have time.
What else--hey someone was complaining about the list being quiet--oh
yea I was on a plane Monday bound for Mexico City via Houston and I
got pulled off at the last minute by my scheduler. Unfortunately they
couldn't get my bag off in time. So a weeks worth of clothes and
Lutron's tools went to Mexico. I filed a claim to have it returned
and apparently someone in Mexico City has declined to return my bag.
Continental said that it's not lost--they know where it is and I got
off the plane voluntarily and all. Additionally because it was in
Seattle I am not eligible for the allowance for personal hygiene items
and such, and they will not let me claim the contents of the bag until
it is "missing" 25 days. It's been 36 hours and they won't call it
missing yet. WTF? People wonder why I HATE to go international.
