ARP head stud questions...



Dude, the thread condition on head fasteners is too critical for an amateur to be cutting steel away with a die.  
Get new studs.

  dude just call ARP up and talk to them.  I talked to them yesterday because I had 2 studs off my 16v that was messed up and they told me the thread specs on the studs so I could get a die to repair the studs.

    I hope you are not assuming that the final torque setting for a head
    bolt/stud is 65ft/lbs.  !!!

      So it looks like 65 ft/lb. w/ a good quality moly lube (for an
      aluminum head) is the spec I was looking for.  I also came across some
      advice on the net to retorque the ARP nuts after some time.
