Too true, Gordon. Or at least it used to be. VW has a lightweight hyd.
lifter now, but I will admit I do not know the weight of the mechanical
one. The normal hyd. lifter is like 80 grams, and the newer one is
something close to 50? I searched VWV and did not find the thread I was
looking for. It is something like 8 pages long... Long story short,
IIRC it is the newer 2.0s lifters...
