Did i just buy a '78 Champaigne Edition?

Yesterday i flagged this guy down on the road on my way home from work and 
talked to him for an hour or so, gave him my number in case he wanted to 
sell it at some point and we parted ways.
Today, he called me back and the car had died on the side of the road and he 
was fed up with it.  He told me that i could pay to hock it out of the tow 
yard (only .25miles from my shop where i work on my dubs) and then we could 
work out price later.  Its looking like i will have to pay a min of $200 for 
the car  He told me that it was a southern or western car or somthing and 
had been in a garage for a long time.  His uncle gave it to him for free 2 
years agao and he daily drove it through 2 vermont winters... its got some 
rust, but not bad.  He told me it was a '78 champaigne edition.  Ive heard 
of this before but never researched.

This car is white with some black striping.  It has the remnents of what 
looks to be an "S" spoiler.  It has the same style wheels that the S came 
with.  The seats are black cloth HIGH bolster with a quarteroy looking 
material in the centers.  Whats the deal, what else can y'all tell me?  Il 
post pics as soon as i can get em off my camera.  il also let y'all know how 
much i end up having to pay.
