I was once advised to carefully measure the exact amount of oil spec'd for
the engine for an oil change, and add it at an oil change. (so in your
case? Maybe for the pan donor? I'll let you figure that out...) Then see
where the fill level is on the stick and make a mark there. My 16V has the
wrong stick for whatever reason, and full isn't really...
