On Friday, my car was very hard to start after work. After I got it
running a little, it had a almost continuous sputter. I borrowed
another car and let it sit until today. I did find one vacuum hose
that had a hole in it, but even after fixing that, it ran poorly. I
fulled the tank ($45!) before driving home. I think the fuel pressure
is the issue. During the 10 mile drive home, the car would sometimes
have a sudden drop in power. I could not get the car to idle at 750
like usual. I had to put some "pre-load" on the throttle cable so the
car could idle. The lowest the car do handle was 1500, so I used the
clip to have it at 1750. On road intersection turns, the engine would
die. I'm going to look things over as closely as I can in few
minutes. Anyone have any ideas?
