Bastards! Consider yourselves lucky! :) I just paid $4.60 U.S. per
gallon for 91 octane ($1.45/litre Cdn.) here in the Niagara region
(Ontario, Canada).
I was behind a pickup truck today where the owner had taped a neon
green placard on her tailgate that read:
"We don't get our gas from Louisiana, why are we paying $6/gallon.
The oil companies are giving us a 'category five' screwing over. Call
your MP and bitch!!!"
(btw MP is 'Member of Parliament')
While she doesn't quite seem to understand how the oil markets work
(but who really does?), I can't help but think that the oil companies
(at least here in Canada) are taking advantage of the present
situation. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be enough protest
that the government *might* step in and attempt to regulate gasoline
prices in the future... There have been cries to the gub-ment do this
for the last couple years here in Canada...
Later,
Mark - now contemplating an electric powered Scirocco project! Or not... :)
