I'm not sure what you mean that you have valve clearance issues?
Are you asking if the engine is interference?
I believe the answer is yes, but it is also dependent on valve lift.
3A CR is in the 10:1 range and the Eurospec head has the same
combustion chamber volume as a VW head so 10:1 + - a couple tenths.
