Keeping cool - with no A/C

I am the proud owner of a FACTORY ORIGINAL non-A/C Scirocco 8v. I've
never found another in the junkyard or otherwise.

I hate air conditioners.

However - It's gonna be hot next week on my cincy journey. What do I do?

Remember they used to have those swamp coolers that you put in the
window- and it cools the air using water? Are those things still
around?
