Passat 2.0 liter questions

Chad, one source I have shows that the 9a was in the 90-92 Passats.  
I wanted to add that I would agree with Al regarding the stock 1.8 head
however; if you plan on any porting work the jury is still out on which
one to use.  This is one of the oldest debates on the list.

9a block will go straight in. i recommend keeping the stock head, as it 
flows better than the 2.0 head.
everything swaps over / bolts up, and you only gain 1 lb of weight in
the 
end.
