Passat 2.0 liter questions

9a block will go straight in. i recommend keeping the stock head, as it 
flows better than the 2.0 head.
everything swaps over / bolts up, and you only gain 1 lb of weight in the 
end.

Does any body know if the 2.0 l  engine in a 1992 Passat GL is a 9A and a 
good match for the scirocco for a swap??  Got dibs on one for good $$$ just 
wondering if it is the 9a and compatible.
