Starter motor query



The loose starter motor bolts have happened to me before. Just like you, one 
day when trying to start my old Rabbit it was making strange noises. Took a 
look and the bottom bolt was missing and the top was holding on by only a 
few threads. Not sure why this happened.

Not sure on the second question.
