Instead of gas, why not use something like mineral spirits or diesel
so you do not have to worry about things going boom? That said, I think
a few seconds dry should not hurt it. I mean, what would happen if you
had ran out of fuel or replaced the fuel tank? I would just make a point
of pouring a bit of oil through its intake to keep it prelubed. =)
