Quick question. (Scourge)

lol, well, I run h4 50W bulbs + sealed beam inners for my low beams(so
figure 170w for just my low beams, and ~210 for highs), and I have a 65 amp
alternator that's on it's way out. Adding another 110w of lighting to the
equation will definatley not help. I have two more spare 65 amp alts. around
to go through before I'll buy a 90amp again, lol. (I also have a 500w sub
and 300w for components, so that'll draw a fair bit when cranked too).

That all depends Dan. Some simple math will determine if your
alternator is rated to handle the load by all your accessories. If
you have some serious ICE, 100+ watt headlights + highs, and your a/c
or heat on full blast, a stock (Scirocco) alternator won't cut it...

Most people will be able to get by with an upgraded 90 amp alt. for
all but the most serious in-car-entertainment systems though...
