Clutch/ Tranny swap

I'm in the middle of my first tranny swap/clutch job on my 1986 16V. It
was going pretty good until I get ready to put the new tranny on, its a
9A 8v close ratio that someone sent me when I specifically said I wanted
a 16v one, and I notice the tranny mount is different. There are 3
studs on the differentail casing that are missing from the 9A tranny.
Great, I assume I'll to have relocate some bolts and I'm good to go, but
the locations aren't taped on the 9A so I now have to drill it and tap
it or take it to a machine shop, which are closed until Monday.
Anyone swapping to a 4K or other 8v tranny have this same deal with the
tranny mount?
Also when I was replacing the drive flange seals a bearing fell out of
the diff shaft and was cracked in two. Awesome! Just what I wanted.
If I'm lucky I will be able to use one from the my old agb tranny.
Anyone know about this?
I have been with out my car for over a month now and am really anxious
to have it running again.
