I'm still alive..... dealing with the 3 kiddies & the wife.  That's only part of the good news.  My 2.0L block is FINALLY at a machine shop getting tanked, new water jackets, new intermediate shaft bearings, and bored out and honed for 83mm pistons and I'll probably go get it next week.  I bought the suckers probably 5 years ago and I'm doing the actual assembly to save some money.... hopefully will have a local guy help me that I sold the MK1 to.   I've been working to clean up the empty engine bay and I'm trying to get a crossmember bar built similar to that one K.C. had made a few years ago before I have mine crack on me.  I need a welder for cheap. The install will also include a new TT downpipe with larger cat but I'm re-using my existing 1.8 head with no real mods cause I ain't got the money for that yet.  Wish me luck folks.. I've got a bet going to have this sucker back together before Jan1 and money is the limiting factor.  Anybody want to buy an extra 2.0L block I've got?

MK1 update for Daun.... the new owner is building a 2.0L RIGHT NOW for it and he's planning on supercharging it.  I wish I could have taken that leap.  Its good to see it driven cause its the ONLY MK1 I ever see in Greensboro.
