I think the one you want is from the 123 series cars (230E, 240D,
300D, etc.) built for the US until 84.  That's the model the 124s
(300Es, 300CEs, 300TEs) replaced in 85-86.  Both the 124 and the
European 123s had integrated headlights/fogs.  The US 123s had a 7"
seal beam and the 5" yellow fog light.  Check
http://mercedes.thebenzbin.com for a fog light to fit an 83 240D.
