CV Joints / Cap / Rotor
I've never had a problem with the inners falling down, as they both have
to be contorted to be removed from the flanges. They occasionallu drop
down until the end of the shaft gets caught on the flange lip.
I've been doing this for a number of years now on A1 and A2 platforms and
the only downside I've run across is that you have to make doubly-damned
sure that the bit is squarely seated in the bucket bolt before you spin
the impact - otherwise you have instant rounded bolt... That's only
happened to me once, though, and it was a rush transaxle removal on a
parts car, so the angle grinder was called in to cut the head off the
bolt... :)
