Plugs 101

I run 3A/JH engine, 11:1 compression, and I tested the platinium, and found
that the results were the same as indicated in previous email. Platinium on
8v engines is a waste of a) MPG b) money.

Bosch Platinum2 -- any good in an 8v?

The .org archives weren't conclusive as to a best-choice
plug for this car, I've been using the 84 owner's manual spec ..

In my experience, if you have a low compression motor, stay away from them.
Coppers will do just fine unless you have some expensive MSD ignition and a
turbo. In the high compression motors, I have had better experience with
the platinums, but I did not feel any performance change. Now, to your
point directly, I have yet to play with the Platinum2s at all...

Take it for what it is worth, :)
