overheating
More than likely it is an air bubble. You can do one of two things. Get it
really warm (about to the red) then let it set for a while. OR, you can
pull your upper hose off and try to fill it through the hose. More than
likely blowing a hose is not going to stick your thermostat or make your fan
switch quit but I have seen stranger things! Your fan switch is probably
not closing since the coolant in the radiator isn't hot enough due to an air
bubble. HTH!

Help -
I just replaced a leaky hose, put everything back together and refilled
w/antifreeze. Now the car is overheating and the radiator fan is not
switching on. Already tested the fan motor and its okay. Is there a relay
switch or radiator switch that often fails? BTW its a '86 16v.
thanks ahead of time - steve
