Euro fuel distributor

Check the Techtonics tuning site.  Some performance parts sellers used to 
tout swapping in, I think it was, Audi fuel distributors which had higher 
potential delivery capacity.  IIRC TT tested and found that the stock VW 
fuel distributor never used more than 55% of its capacity (duty cycle).  So 
the only gain was to the sellers bottom line.

Check the TT site to see if they have the info posted.
