the tranny mount normally outlasts the engine (pass. side) mount. if you 
have to replace the tranny mount, might as well do both sides. more work - 
yes. worth it - absolutely. replacing both at once guarantees longer life 
for the front/rear mounts, as well as less stress on the lower radiator 
support (failure of either side mount results in excessive downward force 
felt at the front mount - something it is not designed to handle).

Welps.. a quick visual inspection revealed that its on straight.. but the
transmission is right on top of it.. hmm guess i should replace the motor
mount huh? :)

this is entirely possible.
to verify, the only part of the bar that should have the 'bend' is where it
loops around the bottom of the tranny. the rest of the front of the bar
(both sides of the bend) should form a straight line.
