For the record, I am not currently doing thus, but successfully have in the past.  .  It worked
beautifully on an old Rabbit that blew by tremendous amounts of oil and soaked the air filter in
less than a day.

I used a Windex bottle, IIRC.  A 1 liter oil container would be keeping more with the theme,
though.
