[OT] Motorcycle

My brother had a Radian 600, although I don't recall exactly what year, I
think it was mid-80s. Very compact engine, light, and fairly quick back at
that time. But it suffered from a high speed stability problem. The front
end would tend to develop a shimmy by around 80 MPH. I can't remember if it
had a steering damper fitted or not, but I know it either needed one or a
bigger/better one. I never trusted it at speed on the highway.

Andy Murphy (on this list) has a FJ1200 (not sure of the year) but that's a
pretty big motor for still being air cooled and might not be a real good
idea for a hot climate.

If you're a bigger guy, I'd want to go with the bike with the most motor.
Sounds like the Radian and Intecepter are going to be too small for you like
Mark said.

I know you said inexpensive, but I've got a 1997 CBR 1100 XX I can sell you
for $5700. I'm the original owner and it's got 10K miles on it. See my web
site for pictures and details. It's very smooth, very powerful (150 BHP),
and very stable. Surprisingly civilized and easy to ride for a big bike.
Check it out at http://s16v.com/xx and if you're interested, drop me a line.

Bradley

P.S. Still waiting on those molding strips for the euro bumpers you sold me.
