cv joints

 Tell us how the tie rod was holding on the tire (wheel?)

  I must have changed out every wheel bearing on my 85 8v.

  The last incident the joint broke on the front
  end and the only thing holding the tire on was the tierod. Good thing I
  was only going 25mph at the time !
