Mine also sqwauked loudly. One day I took the speedo connection off the instrument cluster, and threw some lube on it. A few days later, the noise stopped thankfully. Yes, it was REALLY loud when it was cold out. If lube doesn't work, a new speedo cable would.

> Hi,
> In the past I have tried to resolve a squawking speedo. When its cold it squawks very loudly. I had tried a different cable, to no avail. The noise would go away if I moved the cable while driving.
> Recently I had to change the oxs counter when it died. As an amazing side benefit the sqauwking has dissapeared!!
> I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but this may solve the problem!
