How to get the inner tie rod unscrewed?
A medium pipe wrench works wonders since it is hard to fit two crescents in
there without removing the rack. It can be done, I've done it, but a pipe
wrench will definately help!

The Bentley lists only the special tool for removing the tapered stud from
the steering knuckle. It appears that the only tools needed to remove the
inner tie rod end (from the rack) are two large Cresent wrenches.
Anybody have more advice?
Larry
(the Bentely also lists the pertinent dimensions for reinstalling said tie
rods)
