Speedo Problems

It's that far off and you just noticed recently? Has your car had a trans swap? Check what trans code you have. The only way we can adjust our speedos is by changing the drive gear at the end of the speedo cable(in the trans), or by changing tire sizes! There are 3 different gear sizes available, one of which isn't very common so basically only two, and you may have the wrong one. It could be your cable, and if it's your actual speedo the only real feasible option is to buy a different one! HTH,
-Rob
PS: What was wrong with your engine?

my speedo.
I was following my buddy in his truck with a trailer doing around 55mph. My
speedo said 80-85ish???? Umm, houston I think we have a slight problem. Any
ideas greatly appreciated.
Peace Out,
