Speedo Problems

Ok, now that I have some ideas on what wrong with my engine, lets talk about 
my speedo.

I was following my buddy in his truck with a trailer doing around 55mph. My 
speedo said 80-85ish???? Umm, houston I think we have a slight problem. Any 
ideas greatly appreciated.
