Freed from the ice

Just de-lurking briefly to remind you that these cars
are still among the most reliable machines I know of. 
The '84 had been parked from December until this past
weekend, due to the purchase of a new 1.8t 5spd
Passat.  (Incredible car in other ways.  It's amazing
what 20+ years of development will do for a car
company.)  We've had so much snow and ice (central
Mass), I couldn't get the Scirocco out, and wasn't
much motivated to do drive it in the slop anyway. 
Anywhooo, Sunday I climbed across from the passenger
side, turned the key, and she fired right up.  Didn't
even crank once.  Awesome vehicle, and a surprizing
battery.  I'll never get rid of this car. 

Good to be back in the stiff, loud, low Scirocco. 
Missing the 170hp, though.
