Actually its the other way around. You get metal shaveings in the block with
the oil, they get caught up in the oil filter and are forgoten about, or
settle to the bottom of the pan. Now get them in the combustion chamber and
they can get caught in between the pistion and the cylinder wall scoreing the
cylinder walls. Now your rings won't be sealing because of the scoring,
losing compression, and now you have to take apart the engine and bore out
the cylinders and put in new pistons. BAD
