what impact could loose 16v center valve cover bolts cause?

Thanks, Dan (and others too!)

Do I need the whole helicoil kit to perform this? Or can I just tap the
whole with a normal tap setup and then just add the insert?

Most likely, I will just tap the hole for an 8mm bolt. But it's been a long
time (> 10yrs) since I've used either a helicoil or a tap - the last time
being to repair an oil pan drain plug that I got over-zealous on. Would I
have to drill out the hole to go up to the 8mm tap? Better yet, does the tap
and die set come with instructions? Last thing I want to do is f*ck up my
cylinder head... :)

Thanks again! Jeff
