2.0L 8V HP was: cincy 2k+4 photo collection request / hosting -update

Just to add a data point;
My engine: 2.0 ABA, with (I presume) standard 10:1 cr
JH head w/TT port and polish (160cfm on the intake), matched manifolds,
Passat 16V TB (for the TPS)
Schrick 274 cam retarded 2 deg for a little extra top end.
TT downpipe mated to a dual outlet manifold, no cat, no resonator and the
exhaust has been modified so it's 2.25" from downpipe back.
Haltech engine management, so it doesn't have the intake restriction of CIS.

This combination is good for 132 wHP @ 6200.

I've got a friend with an ABA short block, Eurospec head (big ports!), 280
cam, Euro injection, KS ignition and his engine is comparable to mine as far
as power and peak power RPM.

I've also run the ABA with a stock head, G cam, CIS combination and I can
tell you it has nowhere near the top end power of my current engine and the
peak power RPM must be below 5700 although I never dynoed it.

The 2.0L with stock head and G cam is a torque monster, but the head just
doesn't breath well enough for much top end.

Not trying to kick sand cause we all start with stock Sciroccos and work our
way up the power ladder, but I'm thinking a little speedo calibration is in
order.
